The Charity Book Launch of Hard Truths and Realities has successfully concluded, and we are deeply grateful for the generous support of our donors, partners, and guests.

Organised in support of the SPGG Education Fund, the book launch brought together the community in a shared commitment to making education accessible to students in need. Through this meaningful initiative, we have raised $452,407.99 as of 31 December 2025, before matching contributions from MOE and Singapore Polytechnic.

100% of the proceeds from Hard Truths and Realities will go directly to the Singapore Polytechnic Endowment Fund to support students from low-income families, helping to ease financial burdens and empower them to focus on their education.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to this initiative.

ABOUT THE BOOK

Hard Truths and Realities is a collection of reflections and life lessons drawn from the authors’ professional and personal journeys, both in Singapore and abroad.

Spanning 23 essays, the book shares vivid anecdotes that capture the ups and downs of life and work across diverse economic, social, and political landscapes of the past.

Each essay is complemented by one or two humorous or satirical cartoon illustrations that underscore key messages and lessons, making the reading experience more engaging and enjoyable.
